RUN DAWG Provides The Exercise Dogs Need

Veterinarians Agree Most Dogs Need 30 Minutes Of Running Every Few Days

Las Vegas— 8-31-21RUN DAWG is a mobile dog gym that serves the Las Vegas valley, providing climate-controlled exercise for dogs on non-treadmills. When walking our dogs, we are generally only providing exercise for their front legs. Dogs place 85% of their weight on their front paws when walking, but shift that weight to their rear legs when running. This is why a lifetime of walks around the block are not nearly enough to keep your dog in good health. Veterinarians agree that dogs need 2+ hours every day of walking with their owners in order to bond and socialize, but also need 30 minutes of high intensity exercise at regular periods to strengthen their heart and lungs. The only types of high intensity exercise available to most dogs is swimming, hiking or running with their owners. For those owners who cannot provide the necessary cardiovascular workouts that their dogs need for good health, RUN DAWG is the solution. 30 minute workouts on treadmills that are powered by the dog’s own motion, inside a climate-controlled environment will avoid overheating while also building strength, stamina and muscle function.

“Isn’t Walking Enough?”

Unfortunately the answer to this question in most cases is “no.” Yung and healthy dogs without physical limitations or health restrictions need to exercise regularly. The walking around the block over flat, paved surfaces that we will choose because they are easy for us are not providing much exercise for the dog. Animals are evolved to have bodies that are effective at hunting and searching for food. Their bodies are built to burn calories through running, jumping and constant movement. When dogs get the “zoomies” or are destructive in your home, it is a direct result of excess energy that they cannot figure out a way to release. We will consider this to be bad behavior, when in reality the dog is trying to figure out ways to burn calories. Regular high intensity workouts raise and lower the heart rate the same way that interval training does in a human gym. These regular workouts keep dogs strong and healthy, reducing the pain and frustration that comes along with poor health and mobility. Regular exercise is not a matter of being convenient for us, it is a necessity if you want to give your dog the best life possible.

RUN DAWG Mobile Dog Gym

RUN DAWG was developed to provide dog owners with the ability to give their dogs the exercise they need, even if you can’t go out and hike with them for hours.  It provides an alternative to dog parks where diseases and physical confrontations are always a possibility. It helps stop destructiveness and aggressiveness that cause thousands of dogs to be given up to shelters every year. RUN DAWG is for Las Vegas dog owners who want a better life for their dogs. Appointments can be booked through the website at RUNDAWG.com
